Priorities – 8 Questions to Ask

When people say they don’t have enough time to do something, what they are really saying is that it isn’t a high enough priority.  It always amazes me how a funeral with over a hundred attendees can be organized in under a week.  Attendance at funerals is generally very strong.  The funeral becomes the high priority and time is made to attend the event.

Sadly, people don’t always make others the same priority when they are alive.

Here are eight questions you can ask yourself to see if your priorities are on track with your goals:

  • What is my most urgent personal problem?
  • What is my most urgent business problem?
  • What is most on my mind right now?
  • Who are the three most important people I need to spend time with?
  • What are the three most important changes I need to make in the next three years?  Who can help me?
  • What are the three most important changes I need to make in the next three months?  Who can help me?
  • What are the three biggest opportunities I am currently not maximizing?
  • What did I do today to move myself towards my vision?
