Never, never, never give up.

“Never, never, never give up.”

These are some of my favourite quotes from Sir Winston Churchill.  Churchill, the British Prime Minister during the Second World War, and known as one of Britain’s strongest leaders and greatest orators has left a legacy of pearls of wisdom.  For me the theme here is that we must be courageous to pursue what we can today, rather than postulating what may be possible in the future.  It is only through action that we can achieve and we must never stop until we find success.

“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen. “

“Do not let spacious plans for a new world divert your energies from saving what is left of the old.”

“It is no use saying, ‘We are doing our best.’ You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary. “

“The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you can see. “

“We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.”
